Scope
In preparation for the new HatTrick cycle in 2024,
created a new model for the Women’s Football Development Programme that reflects both the increase in annual funding available but also the evolving needs of women’s football.
PROCESS
A survey of women’s football leads across Europe was conducted alongside a detailed analysis of how National Associations used the funding – including project types, financial allocations and focus areas.
OUTPUT
In response to the findings and in collaboration with all major stakeholders a new structure was created that incorporated UEFA’s new mininium standards framework, club licensing and a new League Development Fund which had the aims of:
Drive the development
of national teams, leagues, clubs and players across UEFA NAs.
Increase the capacity and capabilites
of structures managing women’s football.
Improve the sporting quality and conditions
of the game to create a virtuous cycle for growth led by UEFA.small and middle – sized national associations.
Provide greater support
